The Consul General

Edoardo Napoli

I was born in Rome in 1977.

I graduated in law from “La Sapienza” University, with a dissertation in EU law, after spending a year in Berlin with the Erasmus program.

A career diplomat since 2003, I have served at our Embassies in Washington and London, as well as at the Consulate General in Guangzhou (PRC), where I covered numerous dossiers, including: supporting Italian companies and promoting our country’s economic, scientific, and technological interests abroad, particularly in the transatlantic relationship; various foreign policy issues; consular matters and the protection of Italian citizens abroad.

In Rome, I have held positions at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation in the Cabinet office under three different governments, the Secretariat-General coordination unit, and the Press Office.

I am married to Valentina, and we have three children.

A sports enthusiast, I love personal relationships, outdoor life, and reading.
