Temporary suspension of the VIS system
for the processing and issuance of entry visas
Please be advised that from 9:00 p.m. (local time) on February 12, 2026, until 3:00 a.m. (local time) on February 18, 2026, the VIS operating system will be temporarily suspended.
This is a scheduled and urgent technical intervention that will result in the temporary suspension of the acceptance and processing of visa applications, as well as the issuance of entry visas. This suspension will affect the operations of both the visa Office of the Consulate General of Italy in Dubai and the Visa Application Center for Italy, managed by the outsourcer VFS Global.
Please note that, in order to minimize inconvenience to users, appointments already scheduled will be rescheduled for the days immediately before or after the period affected by the operational shutdown, taking into due consideration priority needs and urgent cases.
